Nyuuhouzenji temple was built by Sukeyoshi Fujiwara at the Siramizu Village ,Naka District in 1248. This temple was rebuilted here in 1632. Temple's main Buddha statue is Juuichimen-Kanon-Bosatsu(11 faced Buddha) counted as one of the seven great Buddha statue in Hakata

In temple,Marishido(shrine) dedicated to God Marishiten(Marici).Marishiten is believed as the god of good-luck, bravery, good deals, self-defense and victory by many people.
Very famous old military commander...Motonari Mouri,Kansuke Yamamoto and Toshiie Maeda believed Marishiten also.

early November in every year, "Inoko(child of wild boar) Festival" is held grandly.
