JOUTENJI BRANCH TEMPLE

In this part of the Joutenji Temple, there is the grave of Shakokumei. He was a trader from Sung and supported the establishment of the Shotenji temple. In addition he has done a lot of good deeds for people. So, he was buried beside the campher tree, which is a important symbol for this area. Shakokumei is also affectionately nicknamed "Okusu-sama". Today, the tree is dead, because it was burned by a thunderbolt.

DSC_0298.JPG Behind the Joutenji Branch Temple, we could eat soda noodles free of charge. On the picture, you can see the friendly staff, who prepared the food.
