Just one word^^ Okay...After a few minutes it got clearer what I sould do that day. My task was to find and visit some Japanese Anime stores. Therefore I went to Tenjin which is a big shopping area of Fukuoka (I think).
It took me 30 minutes to get to the first shop named Mandarake.
This big store sells used books and games and figures and costumes for cosplayers.
I wasn't allowed to take any picture...This is kinda normal for Japan. You are allowed to take everywhere pictures but not at anime store. Don't ask why. I really don't know..
I walked around a bit and looked at the Mangas. If you search for one special it takes you really a very very long time when you don't understand the whole Japanes language. By looking at the pictures I searched my way through.
I coudn't even find one of the famous mangas in Japan which is for example One Piece.
Then I went up and saw more books, some DVDs, many costumes and many many figures of the characters of famous anime.
I really don't like this shop sooo much...For me it is always a bit too crowded especially when the corridors are so small.
Normally just one person has got space to stand and look around. But then there are others who want to pass or stand at your position...Or you want to pass them which is even harder because of the thousands of people who are coming exactly in your direction.
A few days ago I bought a video game at this shop. It was the cheapest price I could find in Fukuoka. Just 3990 Yen for the new Pokemon game. It is just a Japanese learning progam so I had to bye it ;)
And it is really hard to understand...I'm still at the beginning...happily I could decide between Kanji and normal Hiragana and Katakana. Otherwise I couldn't even understand a bit ^^
Although the whole shop hasn't got a well atmosphere you can bye very cheap things there. Therefore a visit is worth!
I already knew Mandarake before. Wherefore I hadn't to search for it. Then it got more difficult.
Taking out the map I got from my company I looked for the next stop.
It is called G-Store. Never heard of it I went to MOS Burger. Above it should the shop be.
By using the elevater I entered the shop at the fifth floor.
First of all I was a bit irritated..I expected a very big store...There wasn't a sign before at all..It is a very small shop which contains some anime and cosplay articles. Even some manga can be bought.
Also here I wasn't allowed to take any pictures...
First of all I thought this is a little and nice shop. When you enter it you will the some DVDs and CDs first. Then you see some items which belongs to Anime (buttons, shirts, fangs,...)
At this shop you even could buy little puppets which should be dressed. Nearly a whole wall was filled with puppets and costumes. I havn't seen such puppets before! It looked really strange to me..
After that I saw perukes and other cosplayer accessories.
It didn't take so much time as expected to finish this shop. Because of its small size it was a small walk. There is just one small floor to visit.
Then it got more difficult...
The next thing I wanted to see was the Tenjin Style café.
Therefore I just had to cross the little street. I got really irritated...I forgot that it is located above a udon restaurant named "ウエスト". Wherefore I surched even harder.
As normal for a tourist I expected a big sign (it is there I know...) and really something different. By beeing a café for men it isn't presented so much. If you know that it is there you see it but if you don't you think someone who loves old style curtains lives there.
After I came back from visiting the ToranoAna and the Yasuragi store I quickly picked a picture from the outside (I shouldn't go in they told me) by hoping that it is really the right store...
